Project Ocean Vision - marine conservation articles and videos    

In addition to our marine conservation video production, we use our field and production research to produce short marine conservation articles on the subjects in our videos. The articles offer useful background material to the videos, but also provide interest as stand-alone articles. Expedition Benthic Monitor - Science Officer's Report - 2004 Article Expedition Benthic Monitor was a marine conservation expedition conducted in 2004, led by Squadron Leader Kev O'Neill RAF. Expedition Benthic Orchid 1 Expedition Report - 2006 Article Expedition Benthic Orchid 1 was conducted in 2005, led by Squadron Leader Kev O'Neill RAF with support from the Natural History Museum. The team travelled to Thailand to conduct marine research and conservation in the Similan Islands. The prime aim of the work was to assess and record the damage to reefs caused by the 2004 Tsunami. Expedition Benthic Orchid 2 Expedition Report - 2007 Article Building on the success of Expedition Benthic Orchid 1 in 2006, this marine conservation expedition was run by Squadron Leader Kev O'Neill RAF under the auspices of the Royal Air Force Sub Aqua Association and the Natural History Museum. The team continued its marine research carrying out reef surveys following the 2004 Asian Tsunami. The Expedition won a gold medal from HRH the Duke of Edinburgh.
